UCLA Bruin Assistance For All
ABOUT BAFA
Bruin Assistance for All (BAFA) at UCLA seeks to serve people experiencing extreme poverty in the greater Los Angeles area with a stable social support network and a newfound confidence to pursue their goals. We have a longstanding partnership with the transitional house, Alexandria House, in which we hold weekly tutoring sites for elementary school children as well as cooking nights each quarter. During the 2023-2024 school year, we look forward to partnering with more non-profit organizations to expand our community service efforts in the local area. Volunteering opportunities range from helping cook meals for shelter residents to helping low income individuals with their taxes, or even planning a health fair for the Los Angeles community! Overall, BAFA hopes to make an impact on houselessness and poverty in LA through dedicated assistance to those who need a helping hand.
